What ppe setting should I use?

Hey, I have a 03....w/ standard ppe. I am kinda sick of switching settings for different applications. I am pulling 5,000 or less. To get best fuel economy, should I leave it in econ and use the tow switch or go to the tow setting ?

If I leave it on the tow setting, will I be getting worse fuel when not pulling?

can someone give me some guidelines..... thanks!!!

So if I left it at #2 tow and I was pulling my boat which is 4500 to 5,000 lbs do I need to use tow/haul switch?

I always use tow/haul. Helps save brakes on the truck. But you just have to play with it and find what works Best for you.

Ya I agree with leaving it on level 2. The only major thing that could happen is the EGT's could start to climb and get high. At 1350 degrees the aluminum heads start to warp so thats the point you shouldnt go past.

So as long as you have a pyrometer gauge you'll be fine. Id still use the tow/haul mode to help with firmer shifts and downshifts when towing
