I have had an '02 LB7 for about 20,000 miles that has 192,000 total miles on it. It needs a trans rebuild and would like to build it and then start the normal mods like exhaust, EFI Live or other programer (have quadzilla now), etc. Am I crazy for thinking about modding something with this many miles? I can't seem to find anything about trucks with this many miles doing a search. It burns no oil between changes and has just had injectors replaced.
You should be fine with what you want to do. I heard of an 01' with 727k on it and still running.
R u kidding me 727k that is amazing. I wonder if there are any FORDs that have lasted that long. Thaat really gives meaning to the phrase "like a Rock". Damn

Seems to me like most new diesel owners see high mileage and still think in gas terms. 200,000 miles on a diesel is equivalent to 50,000 miles on a gas engine. I would buy a truck with high mileage ONLY if it was a diesel.
i wouldn't be worried, also you don't have to worry about voiding your warranty..200,000 miles is just broke in for a Diesel..
miles,i know of one 01 7.3L that has over a million miles.
