The kit will do alot in helping extend the life of a trans. What the kit does is increase your line pressure to help the clutches between shifts. Id have to say the trans will hold 90 hp ok with the stock trans. With the kit it should be able to hold a 180 gain.
However, you have a 02 and the transgo jr kit only works for the 06+ allison 6 speed

Eh I honestly dont think there is anything you can do to the 5 speed. I think the only thing you can do is one of the
$2,000 upgrade with a torque converter upgrade.

Alot of guys don't know that it is for the 6 speed alli. I wish it would work on the 5 speed also.
