Any cons to adding a programmer?

Are there?
I am looking at getting one for my LB7 but was just wondering if there were any bad things that may happen by adding so much power possibilities. When you add 150 hp and 350lbs of torque can stong things go real bad?
what needs to be done first?
is there an order?
plmk thanks

Adding anything 90hp over stock and you can start having tranny probs.

You can add anything in moderation. I run my programmer at 85. I want to try 120 but I want to keep the $4000 in my pocket not in my tranny. I have seen that is the weak link. I would definatly go with the exhaust, programmer and gauges. Be careful not to go over 500 horses at the flywheel because the ally does not like it. Any more and you will be buying a new tranny.

the only con I can think of is it is addicting and you just want more power! so you have to save money for more mods. if you can keep it under 100 hp and don't do any WOT 5th gear shifts or make it kick down from 5th to 4th, you will be ok. Also, I am with everyone else...put at least an EGT guage in your truck if you do this.

i think i'm gonna get a turbo back 4'' exhaust and then do the edge with attitude cause it has the gauges with it
I also saw in the newest 4 wheeler magazine how you can do a mod on your gas tank to help fuel delivery by changing the size of the tube in your tank and it's easy except dropping your tank
lmk what you guys think
