LB7 Intake horn mod question

Hey guys Im planning on doing the intake horn mod to my truck tomorrow but I have a few questions I need answered before I start this... And I've spent the last hour reading different threads about this and havent found an answer yet..

I understand how and why we do this but Im a little unclear on how im supposed to grind material down to 2.8 inches exactly? Im just afraid of getting a little off track and grinding a hole in it...

Just take it down even with the rest of the horn, you dont need to measure it, you will see what to do when you get the horn off.

i started with a dremel but it took too long used a carbide bit on a drill then made it smooth with a dremel, just take it down to the gasket line

Did mine today, and it was definitely worth the pain in the butt getting the darn thing off!.. Spool up has definitely increased.. and this is on a stock truck, but it was definitely worth the time.
