Mainly just isolate your intake box from the engine compartment. Your intake sucks in hot air from the engine compartment, and when the fan turns on, your sucking in REALLY hot air = no power and overheating truck. Using some insulation and cutting some holes in the right spots of your airbox will fix that, and also rounding out the inside of the turbo mouthpiece. It's all explained in those papers of his.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. The truck had a Airraid intake on it with a box blocking the engine bay from it, is that enough?

A box really doesn't isolate it, since it's a box IN the engine compartment. And since your fan is still on a ton, it must not be doin a very good job. The stock intake is actually really good, and most people will agree that an aftermarket intake isn't needed. But since you already got one, Do the best you can to make sure that only outside air is coming in, and that the air from the engine compartment isn't getting in. Read this too: cold air intake This thread has lots of good info in it. Hook 'em Horns has it figured out as well.

I ended up removing the Banks Monster muffler and ordered a 4" downpipe that should repace the CAT and pipe I was told. Should bolt right up as the stock one bolts up to the Banks exhaust.
