9/10 you lost your prime, Crack the bleeder screw, push the big silver button on the filter head a few times, tighten the bleeder screw and start the truck. fyi we dont have fuel pumps

Might need to change you fuel filter and/or rebuild the filter head. Sounds like you lost prime or finally plugged your filter.

4 out of 5 dentists agree that you might need to fix the primer on top of fuel filter housing. Easy and inexpensive, at least on my 06.

Either you got a fuel system leak or you needs to rebuild your liter head, might e worth it to replace the bleed screw?

Do you have a LB7 or a LLY engine-? An 04 can have either.

Check the 8th number in the VIN-- a LB7- "1" a LLY will have a "2"

The filter heads are the same, but there are other differences which may cause problems.

I just went through the same thing,or rather,"am" going through the same thing right now.My filter housing was cracked, from what I do not know, but you can get the whole unit, filter, canister, housing, and all for GM for about $160.00.Have the last 8 of the VIN ready when you call.
