2004.5 lly intermittent issue

04.5 lly im workin on dtcs p0201(injector circuit open) po204 po206 po207 p2146(fuel injector group a supply voltage circuit open). checked harness by the ficm, no rubbing, also checked harness on the drivers side the 2 big connectors and took the fuse panel cover off and flipped it to inspect the wires. I have not got it to act up yet but occasionally it looses power/engine light comes on, knocks/clatters says the owner. Im thinking its a harness issue somewhere just doesnt appear to be in the normal places. Has anyone had the same issue other than the #2 and #7 with the ice pick fix. I find it hard to believe the connectors are loose on 4 injectors

The dead giveaway that it is an electrical issue is that injectors 1,4,6,7 are all on the same FICM circuit so if you have a break in the circuit somewhere or if one of those injectors became disconnected, then the entire bank of injectors would shut down and you'd see codes like you did. I doubt the issue is the FICM itself, more likely either wiring or an electrical issue with one of the injectors. I'd do an ohm test on injectors 1,4,6,7 (should be around 0.3-0.4 ohms) and also check for any terminal shorts to the body of the injector. Once you've ruled those out, keep looking for issues with the wiring harness going to those injectors.

Here's a thread that will help with your diagnosis:

I inspected the harness good once more at the common rub through places and wiggled the harnesses on the ficm and the 2 engine harness plugs on the driver side valve cover and wiggled the injector plugs/harnesses on injectors 1 4 6 7 while running. cant get it to act up now. I'll keep digging and get my fluke meter out. ThaCks for your help

You may also want to do the "ice pick fix" on the injector connections (use dielectric grease when reconnecting).

Make sure to unwrap the FICM harness at the alternator because often wires will rub through inside the bundle.
