custom made air scoop

image-40.jpgAttachment 58761i made this scoop awhile back and just now got around to taking pics of it, i drilled a 3 inch hole in the bottom of my AFE CAI and routed it to the custom made box on the bottom then covered it with black plastic likr the wheel well and you dont even know its there. what you all think?Attachment 58761

I did the same set up using black abs pipe ran it down to were the foglight would go.

2002 Chevy silverado 2500 HD, LB7, traded it on a gasser and then traded it in for LBZ.

It helps a ton to get cold air to the engine instead of hot engine compartment air. Banks advertises a 39 h.p. gain with their cold air intake and superscoop. I was a little skeptical but immediately noticed a significant difference once installed. It just seems to run stronger. Highly recommend a cold air intake (and an air scoop as long as you aren't constantly driving through water over a foot deep) Mine has a drain on the other side to allow any water to run out.

I thought about making a similar setup. But I want to hide the intake side. Maybe I'll cut out the foglight holes and use that location. Great pics thanks for posting them.
