"CHANGE FUEL FILTER" light

So I changed my fuel filter the other day, but the reminder that comes on whenever I start the truck won't go out. I looked in the owner's manual and it wasn't mentioned...or I couldn't find. I figured since they tell you how to get the "CHANGE OIL/FILTER" light to go out, that they'd tell you about the fuel filter light too. Anyone know how to do this?:rockin:rockin

should just have to scroll through on your DIC to find it and push and hold the lower right "arrow" button on the steering wheel...

I think that if you have it on chnage fuel filter and pump the brakes thre times it may reset

If you dont have the DIC, You hold down the brake and gas pedals for 15 seconds with the key on. Engine oil life reset is Hold the gas and pump the brakes 3 times.

For the oil life reset when I did the "Hold the gas and pump the brakes 3 times" it would just turn my high idle on or off.

Is the LLY different from the LBZ?

I think you're right about high idle. Now that I thought about it, you press the gas pedal 3 times and hold it for oil life.

I had the same problem, I changed the fuel filter and could not find in the book how to reset the (change fuel filter) I called the Chev dealer and he just said to bring it in, they had to hook it to the computer to reset it (I suspose for a nice fee) I fooled them, found out how here, THANKS GUYS, saved a few dollars. Real simple, turn on the key with the change fuel filter message showing and hold down the break and gas pedal at the same time for about 15 sec's and it shows reset. Now why would the Chevy place not tell me that?
