MPG question

I just got my 05 6.6 Duramax. What are some add-ons that can be installed to increase MPG? Thanks in advance for the input.

welcome to df! please fill out your sig so others will know what you have. the mods i have found that helped the most with my truck was the removal of the cat, going with a bigger exhaust 4 or 5 inch, and replace the lly turbo mouth piece with either lbz or kodiac mouth piece.

More questions guys....

Thanks for the advice guys.. The panel on my truck shows the avg. mpg to be 10.7.. Are these things correct? Seems like my MPG is way bad..

Where do I get the following parts:
  • replace the lly turbo mouth piece with either lbz or kodiac mouth piece
  • blocking the EGR

check your numbers in L/100Kms its easier to compare
gets confusing when a imp gallon is almost 20% bigger than a U.S. gallon (must be us Canucks causing trouble)
so re calcing my numbers

11.5l/100kms=2.53 gal(Imp)/62.1 miles=24.5mpg

11.5l/3.78(U.S. gal)=3.04gal 62.1miles(100kms) /3.04(U.S. gal)= 20.4mpg
so it may look that us Canucks are bragging but we really aren't its the same but different

Neither will help your mpg. Only a good tune will. Exhaust may help a little. Awful lot of noise though.
