if i get a blocker plate do i need to reroute pcv right away? do these mods go hand in hand? if i do one do i need to do the other? i have been reading alot of the threads on here and can't seem to find an answer to this.

No. Two different mods. Blocker keeps exhaust from entering the intake, PCV reroute keeps oil from entering the turbo inlet. When I did mine the intake was really bad from the soot, but the turbo inlet was not that oily. If you have a truck with CA or New England emissions you will need the finger stick with the blocker plate unless, of course you have EFI Live then you can just block the code from being thrown.

The PPE will also block the EGR codes. Torch is correct the two mods are not related.

Hey Torch, I see you have a Bullydog programmer, which one do you have and how do you like it? I have the Triple dog with the Outlook monitor and like it, but have heard a lot of bad stuff about BD on here. Like it trashes your tranny and are dirty tunes. I use it on the performance setting and do not race around and it seems to run fine. Good power, but gets hot fast when you get on it a bit. I get about 22-24 mpg when cruising around 60-65. Just wanted to see what someones else opinion was.

I noticed and thought of that yesterday, that my sig says BD programmer. I am going to change it, as it is a BD performance intimidator not Bully Dog. I don't really think that this one is all that great seems to have issues occasionally. I believe I will be getting a PCM all programmed with EFI live from one of the venders here. As you said there seems to be alot of talk about the bully dog being bad news. I know I won't be buying one. good luck with yours.

If you need a blocker plate, click the link in my signature for more info. We use a laser cut T304 SS plate with a lifetime warranty. Satisfaction guaranteed.

We can also help with any tuner questions.

Let me know if I can help.

Subject to debate, IMO the pcv reroute is a waste of time, assuming you have performed an induction overhaul remedy.
