2005 Duramax

Hello all,
I recently joined and wanted some input on what Mods. I will NEED because of original engineering errors. I have read about the "overheating issues" and wanted to know more about this and if there are other issues associated with the 2005 GMC Duramax that i just purchased.
Thanks

definitely need to get a turbo mouthpeice. just do a search for it and you can read all kinds of information. It makes a difference in performance that you feel immediately. the next thing i am going to invest in is a ddown pipe and 4 inch exhaust. I am surprise that no one has chimed in on other things. It is all up to you to what you want to do with your truck. the vendors are great on advice and prices.

Whats the best bang for the buck mouthpiece to buy? I need to double check what mods are done to mine yet, I was told the exhaust was upgraded already.

I went with the AFE Mouthpiece, its a direct install no need to cut or run around town to buy parts to make it fit.

Also look into a exhaust, intake, downpipe and intercooler tube to help keep the truck running cooler.
