Well, G.M. finally sent someone out to look at my engine. He is sticking with the same story. Damage caused by a power adder. I think they brainwash their reps. This truck has never had any power-adders. Another dealer in my area has got three work trucks with same problem waiting for engines. G.M. knows they have a problem and will try to wiggle out of it any way they can. Power-adders are considered programmers, nitrous or propane. My truck has seen neither. Today I will let the Attorney loose and start the ball rolling. If any of you run into the same problems please let me know. If we have enough people together, we can get a class action suit against General Motors. After searching around I am finding I am not the only one with this problem.

Ive worked for dealers for 6 years. Its just one of those things. Has the truck been to the dealer for oil changes and other shit. Some dealers are pricks and tehre like this guy only comes here for warrenty work. Warrenty work pays shit and alot of mechanics will try not to do warrenty work.

Go to another dealer talk to a mechanic tell him you are willing to Pay him a few extra dollars out of ur pocket to change the motor. I know it sucks but ive had 3 friends go to court for stuff like this and sure they got there motors changed but cost them 2-5,000 in lawyer court fees. For GM its just a write off. Thats why its good to have friends at dealers I know this is stupid but take it what ever way you want, In this day in age everyone wants there Penny

Another story working for mazda kid had this mazdaspeed protege and he put a exhaust on it. The mazda rep came in and was like nope no warrenty it has power adders. So i went to the kid and said go tell the mechanic you will pay him 300-400 cash and see what happens. The mechanic called him the next day the mazda rep approved the new short blocks.

ANother kid same story he tried to pull heavy and be a asshole. Tried to sue mazda and it cost him 3,000 in lawyer fees and at the end he had to pay for labour.

I use to work for the dealer in California that is trying to help me out. My truck has gone to them for everything. I also have both my Hummers serviced there too. All the dealers agree this should be covered by warranty. It is the G.M. reps playing the games. As far as the court, my wife is a litigation attorney. I have tried to have patience and give them time to step up to the plate and get it handled. Being in the automotive business, I know things can happen. I am easy to work with. There comes a time when you have to put your foot down and say, Thats it! I think some bad publicity will wake them up with court papers to follow.

Good Luck Bro, I think that this needs to be handled. Why cant they see that all it takes is one time to give someone a bad taste for your product. It takes years to make a reputation but only seconds to lose it.

Ok, G.M. has decided to kick the warranty and not cover the engine. We have contacted GMPP coverage to see if they will step up. (Now we will see how much the extended warranty is worth. ) They have a inspector coming out to look at the truck. This is still a seperate coverage from the original warranty so we will still persue legal action against General Motors. So much for my 7 cylinder Duramax!
