It may sound funny but our diesel cost alot more. When I left for my trip diesel was at $4.27gal . Now it's alot more. They are starting to give you a tube of Vasoline with each fill up. It has always amazed me how diesel could cost more when it is a by product from the manufacturing of gasoline. It trickles down into every other part of the economy and pushes the price of everything up. I still won't give up my diesel!

Speed what part of CA are you in?

There is another website where you can complain. Planetfeedback.com sometimes it works. They email the CEO's and COO's of companies with the complaint. I've used a couple of times and you normally get a response of some sort.

We got the call this morning, GMPP will have an inspector come out on Monday to look at the truck. I am curious to see what happens next. This should show everyone weather or not you want to spend that extra money when you purchase your next vehicle. Or it is a big waste of money.

Again with more research I have found that the LLY have run into major heat problems through the years. The first thing they changed was to give the trucks a taller hood to give more ventilation room in the engine compartment. The LLY cylinder wall clearances were too tight causing excessive heat in the cylinders. G.M. has had their share of injector problems with their diesels too. General Motors knows that they have problems but will do what ever they can to get out of their 100,000 mile warranty. I have talked with numrous engine builders and they all tell me that the cross hatch that is done in the cylinder walls is to help seat the rings and over time will wear. G.M. states if you have a hole in the piston and the cross hatch is worn, you must of had a power-adder. I can show that it happens without any. My truck is proof!

I saw that LLY over heating vid on Youtube and on here . My dad purchased a LLY and i was a bit worried.

I think that GM should cover it. This truck is flogged as a Work Horse truck and its suppose to be the best. Im in the millitary and we have all 3 the GM,Dodge and Ford Heavy duties and by far the most favorite and best truck is the 2500 HD and i see this BS about dealers pushing people around pisses me off .

I hope you get a free motor and lawyer fees paid for.

Thanks, Like I said the dealer has been on my side. Thay have been trying everything to help out. This one falls back on General Motors and their reps. They don't back up their dealers. I am going after them for all legal costs and the time they cost me while my truck is waiting to get fixed. GMPP will have an inspector out on Monday and we will see what happens. I am not holding out any hope.
