never have changed the filter. truck has 40,000 miles on it and ive put around 7,000 on it since i bought it. would i have possibly dameged the turbo on it?

If you limped your tranny, which it sounds like you did, that means its on the path to destruction. The stock tranny won't hold more than 90 or so hp for very long, runnin more than that is just a time bomb. Best bet is to put it back to stock, and change your tranny fluid and filter and hope for the best. From what everyone on here says, once you limp it, its going to happen again, and more frequently til your tranny is gone.

I would not say turbo just yet,change that fuel filter asap,then you'll know if that's all it was,on such a new truck it's good to get in the habit of proper maintanence,mine has only 43,000 miles,hit me back if ya need help,good filters on fuel system are a must,newer diesels are even more picky,these are not the diesels of even 10 or 15 years ago,I'd bet a 10 dollar bill,ya seeing some fuel flow restrictions,buy the way it sounds,again just goin on what i can understand,clean fuel filters=happy owner...

For sure change the fuel filter. It would be my bet that is all thats wrong with it.
