Programer Exhaust and Cold Air Intake

Hey ya'll. I am new here and I have a stock 05 cc 4x4 LLY and looking to mod it. I am intrested in a programer, 5 inch exhaust, and if I need it and it's worth the money a cold air kit. I am not a racer but I want something that will make it fun against the imports and stock stangs in the area. I also know I want a turbo back system and have beem looking at MBPR but open to better ones. I don't have the money to upgrade the Ally now but it will be done next. I will be running 305 70 16 Nitto Grapplers after I install my leveling kit. I am new to diesels but I have been doing a lot of reading up on them so thank you in advance. Oh yea Diablo is comming out with a power puck and programer that is stackable is this to much for stock Ally or will it be alright I was also looking at the new PPE programer out the Duramax Xcellerator LLY.

If I were you i would do the PPE Xcellerator I have it and highly recomend it. I have heard that 5 inch. exhaust just sounds deeper I am not sure if it lowers temps or not but the 6 inch tip is huge! MBRP is what I have and i really like it but i have it in the 4 inch. Instead of doing the air intake use that money and do a transco jr. shift kit. The shift kit and getting it installed will be around the same price as your intake. Some where around 300 (somewhere around what a guy told me he would do it for). It will also be a lot better investment then the intake and you can use your PPE's power without having to worry.

in order to do the trans go for his truck the trans must be removed, so it would be quite a bit more $$.

i have the same truck and soundsyour more into the power like me so w/ that being said i'd say 5" t-back, i'd suggest staying w/ MBRP if you want aluminized if you want stainless you cna go Magnaflow. as for an airintake i went w/ the Airaid kit, it comes w/ a 7 layer filter standard and has great air flow, i'm very happy w/ mine. as for a programmer the PPE is nice, but i'd say the ATS E-Power would give you much more bang for the buck. it's got 8 different power levels for your truck so you won't have to buy a new programmer once you upgrade your trans. let me know if you have any questions or give me a call and we can go over whatever questions you might have.

Just going to throw this out there......if you are going to run a programmer.....and it doesn't matter if it's set to 40 or 90 extra HP....if you run Wide Open Throttle (WOT)...you run a good risk of limping your tranny. And once you do that, it will get easier and easier everytime. It's esp. easy when you shift from 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 and backwards.

i agree to a point, when i was running the bully dog edge stack, i could limp the trans w/ ease. now that i have the quad and edge stacked i can run the edge on 5 and the quad on 90hp all day long and never limp it and i beat on it.

duramax2be let me know if you would like details on any of the tuners. PPE guarantees 1-2mpg.

well they really don't do the crazy larry any more. and you can expect to gain mileage w/ any unit out there providing you drice sensibly w/ it. usually the higher HP setting will get you the better mileage, b/c of the advanced tuning in those levels.

oh and ALWAYS hand calculate the mileage, don't go by the DIC.

My mistake on the trans I thought that you could do the transco jr. kit without having to remove the tranny.
