As the title suggests, I have a vibration coming from the passenger side of my engine bay. It sounds kind of like a wheel bearing noise, but it's not because it gets louder as the RPM gets higher. Again, it sounds kind of like a wheel bearing noise, or maybe like a gear noise. I'll try and get a video of it, but until I can, any ideas?
No they didn't. I replaced the pulleys when I did the HGs. I just had to redo the injectors and replaced the alternator when I was in there. The sound came after the injector replacement. The sound is like something gear driven struggling lol
Did you ever find out what was/is making the sound? I have the same issue. on deceleration at low speed sounds like the flat side of a gear rotating against a flat piece of metal.
Mines kind of like that. I still haven't figured out what it is. I'm in college and don't have a shop here to work in. If I had to try and describe the sound it's like a pump/motor struggling to push whatever it's supposed to. Like the whir of a water pump that's pushing dry, so to speak. As RPMs climb so does the pitch of the noise.
