| the stage III is 160hp isn't it? I have the economy tuner and mine is 40-90-160. I would run stage II ans the allison can only handle up to 90hp. You dont want to cause issues..

| I agree, 90hp is about the max you want to run while pulling just to be safe I run mine on level 2 and have never had any problems. Hate to rip apart the trans$$$.

thanks for the help. Matt | IMO you will be fine to run these levels. The PPE is rated at the crank so you will a little short of the 90 hp limit when on level 2 and right at it or just above when running level 3 you should be fine. Quote:

| awesome, pretty excited to get this thing in! got gauges comin with it to!
will i notice more power on level 2 ( 90 hp) compared to my old edge on level 3 (75 hp) or will it be compareble?
just wonderin what to expect from the tuner, i guess smoother shifts and power? like whats better about the ppe!

| Trust me you will notice it. I switched from an edge to my PPE almost a year ago and wow what a difference. Shifts are about the same maybe a little faster. However, in my opinion the throttle response was greatly improved over the edge. I am with big red in it should be safe to run it on the 120HP level. If your towing just watch the 4-5 or 5-4 gear shift. This will be the weakest spot for the factory trans and the most likely place to really slip.
