Looking at building my transmission and wanted to know if a 650 HP build would be enough for what im looking to do. I do not plan to upgrade injectors or CP3 in the near future at all. The only reason i would is if they take a crap on me. So what are the maximum capabilities of stock fuel WITH a lift pump? I would think 650 would max out the stock fuel system. Tell me if im wrong
I don't remember where but i have heard of people throwing 800+ on stock bottom end. Although that might have been an LBZ... I don't remember

Idaho Rob at Atp made around 830 with a stock bottom end lb7, I dont remember if it had studs or not (probably so). Mark at Danville made around the same with a lbz, both trucks had compound turbo setups with bigger injectors. Marks lasted for a little while but when he pulled it apart to build it the rods were bent if I remember correctly. Never heard how long the ATP tuned lb7 made it. Probably not long at 800+...
Ok i guess that pretty much answers my question. I won't be able to push the limits of a transmission build for 650 on a stock motor thanks

Go for it. You can get 650 on a lly with some careful tuning if the injectors and cp3 will keep up, donno how long the rods will last if you drive it hard but you can do it. Would be even safer with 30% or 40% injectors though. And you should find you a good used lbz cp3 you will have a better shot at makin 650 with it on there.
Thanks thats what i like to hear and obviously im not planning to drive it daily on max effort. Only gonna turn it up when i wanna run em with someone otherwise will be in econ

Awesome. I have 215,000 miles on my lbz and I am making 550-570 with 65mm turbo and almost completely worn out stock injectors. Going 45 overs soon and 630-670 btw you will love the built trans haha.
Whats the worst that could happen anyway...actually no don't tell me
