EGR delete & PCV reroute COMPLETE

OK, add me to the list. Just finished mine. What a PITA. I did the Sinister kit that removes the whole cooler and egr motor. The back bolts were a pain as Im sure most of you know.

Now then, some questions: Is it just me or does my truck sound different now? Will this boost my power any and will I see a return in fuel economy?

Im just wondering why I and why so many of you do it?

I didn't have too much trouble with mine. I did get a different sound though. I keep blowing out my intake manifold tube and it does hiss and doesnt make as much boost, but i have hit 25+ psi with the delete and my edge evo on level three i get about 22-25 depending on the weight of my right foot it also makes for a cooler intake charge and no soot running through the engine= longer engine life

What do you mean when you say "blowing out your intake tube"? You are talking about the tube that runs from your air box to your mouthpiece correct?

its the part that disappears down into the engine, You unbolt the intake manifold to bolt on the blocker plates (mine were anodized blue) and its the aluminum piece with a stud and a hole. Its post turbo because it has to hold boost. Mine smoked really bad and it just pushes into the intake manifold that feeds the heads and is only held in by 2 o-rings.

Hopefully thats a good enough explanation if you need me too i can post a picture.

Nah, I'm with ya now. Well that really sux. What are you supposed to do to keep it from blowing off? Kinda hard to get to that bad boy without dismantling the shit out of it.

What have you done to keep it from blowing off?

We got the Sinister kits that I guess are notorious for blowing that tube off. What kit you got? You may have used the block off plate??
