Predator program installed

Installed the 65HP tow/economy tune last night in the truck last night. WOW - what a difference in power!

Now, if it helps with the economy part, all will be well.I'd sure like to get the everyday driving up to 20-21 MPG from the 17.5 I now have and the towing has been at 10.5 and hope it goes to 14 or so.

Question about the tranny though. It shifts funny into 4th and 5th when romping on it, hesitates for about a second or so. I see where folks say to drive it for 50 miles or so and give the tranny time to relearn the shifts. This sound like the right advice?

It also hold back and down shifts like it was in tow/haul mode but it is not. Is this something the predator does when pumping the power up?

Go through it like this...do some 1/4 throttle shifts, then 1/2 then 3/4 then wotnot all in one day though.I'd say the relearn takes 200 miles, but def more than 50 before you romp on it...you need to have it in tow/haul while you gettin on it too..When you don't have in tow mode, drive sensibly.

if it is hanging on shifts, it could be the fuel filter. if it is only hanging and shifting slow, it is defueling to save ur tranny....the truck does this stock too, with a programmer it does it more pronounced. As long as it shifts without letting up on the go pedal, it probably is just defueling.

Got a new fuel filter on it about 1500 miles ago. Did that right after I bought the truck.

I hope this shifting issue goes away so I can enjoy that new power!
