Just installed the KB CAI & OIK. By cutting the bottom hole out in the foil, will I have to watch for extra dust and snow getting into the air box.
Also how can you tell if the the mouthpiece is up against the turbo at the bottom after the clamp is tightened
Will the air box have a bit of movement once installed.

I checked everything after driving it and the air box does not seem to be perfectly tight against the fender,. When tight the back 2 pins are about a half inch towards the firewall from the gromits.
Did some testing by the speedo.Up a hill stock 145km same with CAI & OIK. Quarter mile 135km for both. Was not expecting to see much of a difference.
Did a 200mile trip and driving110km the mileage was still the same, there was a wind so I will have to check it some more.

Would love to see some pictures. I am waiting on my IOH kit to come from him so I can install it and been thinking about the True CAI.

To even up the output of the exhaust manifolds. The drivers side has a big restriction and the BD if full flow. It will lower Egt's on that side also. Most people putting out high HP run one. I am towing a heavy load most weekends so I put a lot of stress on the engine. The best part it is already drilled and tapped for a pyro.

It shouldn't be an issue if you are using the correct element.

Also how can you tell if the the mouthpiece is up against the turbo at the bottom after the clamp is tightened
if it doesn't move when you try to rotate it, the v-band clamp has done its job.

Will the air box have a bit of movement once installed. I checked everything after driving it and the air box does not seem to be perfectly tight against the fender,. When tight the back 2 pins are about a half inch towards the firewall from the gromits.
this one even gets me. it is not installed correctly. When it is, thos pins find homes in the grommets. You have to pull the box toward the fender and the headlight at the same time. Make sure the rubber shroud is tucked inside the radiator support so it doesn't make an obstacle.

Did some testing by the speedo.Up a hill stock 145km same with CAI & OIK. Quarter mile 135km for both. Was not expecting to see much of a difference.

I will fiddle with the air box some more, that is a snug fit.

it is easier to position with the top off, and moved out of the way.
