multiple questions...

1. I want to run great power and my bullydog isn't getting it done. I want to be able to shift on the fly. And be able to throw down when it i race. Is Edge or banks any better??? Give me reasons. I am scared of ppe and efi live now due to no safe guards. Please help i am very indecisive and worried of making the right choice. Bully dog seems week on extreme need MORE power. I know you have probably heard the story but i was beat by a stock Z71....

2. Tranny guy tried to talk me out of suncoast and just wants me to put on a torque converter and shift kit. says that will hold up to what ever i throw at it....

BTW Banks alllll the way. The make there tunes a lot better and with edge I heard the shifts are hard on the tranny but I see ur looking for an upgrade either way. From experience I have rode in trucks (LB7'S) and def I see Banks throwin out better performance seriously its off the chain for an on-the-fly tuner

You trans guy is filling you full of crap. With EFI Live you can have tune built for you that will be safe and give you plenty of power. I always tell people to stay away from the shift on the fly tuners because it takes time for the trans to relearn everytime you change the tune. It will make it feel slugish and can hurt the trans.

Those so called safe guards really don't do much for you except give you a false piece of mind. Edge and Banks both put down enough power to destroy the tranny if you abuse it enough. Between those 2 I would go with the banks for sure. Like mentioned above you are spinning a lot of weight and without some tranny upgrades it's gonna be hard to make your truck as fast as someone running stock size rims and 265 tires.

I have run bullydog and know what you mean about the power and drivability. No mater which you decide to go with you will be more satisfied than what you was with BD.

No lift... Just turned the toirson bars a couple of turns to level it. That is the only time it has slipped was towing the pintail and skid. It shift fine. It is just my truck something isn't right. Me and some of the mods have talked about it. It is always throwing codes. low pressure 1093 401 404 and 1621... Here is a picture if i can get it to post

Those codes you listed have nothing to do with the tranny. The 1093 is a low rail pressure. Could either be a dirty filter, need a lift pump, or need to shim the FPRV. The 404 and 401 is from the cat being gone and the 1621 is just a random code that the BD causes. The only one of those codes that will cause a performance issue is the 1093.
