| i am new to the form so i dont know how this works. i have an 05 lly i want to put a tuner back on it but do not know the diffrence between bans vs. the edge vs. efi live or what to go with? i already had a big tune with efi one of my friends my friends put on and eventually ruined the trans. now i had a jasper trans put in but now i am back to wanting to go fast but also be reliable please help bc you guys know way more than i do. stock trans,garret powermax turbo,k&n intake,4 inch down pipe back. |

| Get Efi live from someone on here like rob at atp, BoBo, duramax tuner or korry willis, Normaly a auto cal with 5 tunes is like 600 bucks or so, its alot better for your truck then a canned tuner like a ppe or edge, and about the same price. You can also change tunes on the fly and get what ever tunes you want just about. Anyway welcome to df im sure more people will pitch in and help

| Defiantly EFI live dude. Plenty of vendors on here can hook you up with it. Post up a thread in the vendor jungle and they get you set up. Pretuned ECM is probably the cheapest way, then like the autocal that ATP offers, or you could go all out and get your own v2. IMO the autocal would be the best way to go. Oh and welcome to the forum!

| ok thanks guys!now hear is my 2nd delema. with the new trans came a warrenty now between all my options with efi live which one can i hade the tuner so that the shop has no way of proving that i had a tuner in the truck? buying tuned ecm and keeping my stock one? buying the whole efi live system? |

| How is the aftermarket company gong to know? EFIlive is internal programming, no external tuning devices are required...except a switch for DSP5 only. Also, if the trans isn't built up, don't waste your time getting crazy on tunes...

| Even better, just get an Edge Insight CS or CTS and use that to switch. If you have a warranty issue, just flash the ECM to stock and unplug the Edge and no one's the wiser.
