Benefits of egr

Gonna do the egr delete was just wondering Wat are the benefits of doin it

I just did mine and egts dropped a little and it really cleans your intake. My truck had 165,XXX on it when I did mine and it was awful looking. It took me forever to clean my intake. It will be so much better for your truck. Also now is a good time for a pcv re-route. There is a DIY thread on it.

Are you gonna do a full delete or just put the blocker plate in?

You could get a PCV reroute kit from Alligator. What is does is that it stops oil from getting in your turbo and pushed into your Intercooler.

i never understood why to delete the pcv...you would think that the turbo would want some lubrication.

The turbo SHAFT needs lubrication and gets it through the oil feed line. The IMPELLER only needs dry clean air. Misting oil on to the impeller has zero benefits, only detrimental affects.

go run a mile. then stick a straw in your mouth and try to breath. thats how your engine feels with the egr there..
