looking for some help will running your edge on 5 ruin my injectors have 111 k and the only way i could get good fuel economy was on 5 has lost some power. Yesterday lost totlal power with a rattle shut it off power comes back
When I was having this issue, I was told that the edge cannot keep you fuel rail pressure up to what the edge is telling your computer it needs. And it is supposed to be cured by installing another fuel pump. I could be a liar.:liar But I know when I have really hammered on it, it does act like I am not getting the fuel needed. I have noticed that I get 2mpg better pulling my 26' TT, but I have only ever taken mine over stage 2,once.
Diesel Power Magazine Article:
"CP3 Dual-Feed Fuel Line
('03-'07 Dodge 5.9L Cummins and '01-'07 DURAMAX)
Ths part from Industrial Injection increases the fuel volume to the common-rail system by adding an additional fuel-feed line between the pump and the common rail. The downfall of the common-rail system is that after a full-throttle burst, the rail takes time to recover to maximum fuel pressure. Dual-feed lines are designed to cut rail recovery time in half. Less restrictive fittings are also used to increase fuel flow. Industrial Injection claims this simple modificaion can add up to 50-70hp."
on the way to work today it was great, power was awesome, on the way home, i hammered it, and the truck felt dead, no power at all, it hesitated and i thought i was gonna have to pull over, then it started goin, this happened twice.
any ideas, or does the alison just have to learn it more?
did you install that KN intake at the same time? Check for codes.

edge i find does not give me the power i need for towing because i can only use it on lvl 1 wen towing, i should have done more research, some of my buddies have the ppe and tow on lvl 3 with 150 extra horse, i may switch over, i would sure miss the digital readout though.
ppe all the way but the best for the dollar is the diablo and both will read codes..

Look at THESE gauges, I love them. WAY more information than the edge.
and yes, they read and clear codes too.
You can see more description of them and the colors available in this thread.
