i know theres been a ton of talk on here about lb7 mouthpiece conversions at the risk of burning every one out i thought i would tell you guys i finally put mine on. i used a 4 in aircraft vent duct sleeve for the coupler. i also machined a flange from black pvc stock that was bonded to the shortened intake that was the same dimension as the flange on the new mouthpiece. i havent pulled my trailer yet but it seems to run better. i would like to make a cold air inlet, remove the convertor or maybe complete exhaust and send the pcm to killer bee to be reflashed to further improve it

+1 for pics, I have the same dilema ahead of me; what do about the MP. My buddy has a LBZ mouthpiece he'll give to me but I'm not sure what kind of fabrication is ahead if I take it off his hands. I've just got to take it apart and see for myself this weekend. A little exploratory surgery never hurt any.

im a moron, i meant lbz. the original intake wherecut to mate with the new mouthpiece is smaller in diameter than the new mouthpiece by about 1/4 in. plus its thin and not really meant to be clamped although it will work as referenced from the guys on here who have done it. so i machined a flange thats the same out side diameter as the the flange on the new mouthpiece. the cross section is an l shape that presses inside the tube 1st then goes into a reciever groove. it also has a ferrel machined into the outer edge to prevent the coupling sleeve frome slipping. the inside edge was radiused for airflow. i bonded this to the original tube. its similar to the clamping flange on the original intake
