I have a 05 2500hd, and i have those ugly mirrors that extend electronically, and i hate the way they look, and on top of that i busted the drivers side one up pretty good backing into the garage, ill blame that on the ice and 2 feet of snow in my driveway this past winter. But anyways i wanted to upgrade them to the mirrors that are split and have a upper and lower mirror on them. My buddy has them on his truck and its alot better when im towing my car. heres a link to the ones that i was thinking about getting. do you think the wiring will be the same as my old ones... the ones with those ugly cheap looking rubber boots?
they say it will fit the 05 so i would assume the wiring should be the same, if you need help let me know i had to hardwire mine so i could help you out
Man, i really dont want to rewire them things, plus i wont be back stateside for like another couple months till i go on leave. So i was hoping to catch these things now for cheap, then install them while i was home. But if i might have to re-wire i might order them closer to going home, then if they do need to be rewired, i might just send them back and get the replacement
Hey Delong_1, Do you mind posting a picture of your 01 dmax with the updated mirrors on it. I have the same thing and thinking about doing the same thing for pulling purposes. Thanks
i was thinking of those to. why would we have to re wire them? i have all power mirrors now as well that are the eletric extending ones? isnt it just plug and play? maybe im wrong
