Now this may really show my ignorance. But I see a lot of tuners that will boost HP and performance. But is there one that will reduce HP? In my limited knowledge I am thinking that a truck going down the highway at 70 doesn't need 300 hp and could get by with a lot less power. So is there a tuner that will dial it all back so you get the absolute best MPG for cruising empty?

The more power a diesel is making the better the MPG (to a point) My EFI 90hp tune nets better mpg than my 40hp tune, as long as you keep your foot out of it. The more power it is making, the less energy it is required to keep it moving

That is interesting. I would not have thought of it that way. But I guess it makes a little sense. So I need a gadget to keep my foot off the floor?

Close, both are bad. I even have a excuse, as I failed the military hearing test twice because I am high frequency def, I just have not told her that her voice is not at the same decibel range

Thanks. Do you know much about this? There isn't very much on the website. Do you know anyone who is using one?

now that's something new... I wonder if that's for real, or something like Chad's 3cp3 kit... who would want something that takes power away, when they could spend less money in the first place and buy an e-85 truck?
Seriously though, if you can tune your engine to make more power with the same amount of fuel, you can go faster or do more with your foot at the same place... that also means that you won't need that same amount of fuel to pull the same load, or drive at the same speed you were before.
