I haven't heard to many good reviews. PPE would prolly be a better choice for a box tuner. EFI would be the best if you want custom tunes

If you want to run an Edge tuner, I would recommend the Edge EVO Race. I have no first hand experience with it, but everyone I have talked to who HAS run it was extremely impressed.

I recommend either PPE, or Quadzilla like said above you need a basic plug and play tuner. But if you want to have your options unlimited then the EFI Live would be the best choice for the long run.

I know the Edge worked well on the LB7 trucks but not as well on the newer stuff. Mine was awesome and had another guy I know had an 05 lly and hated it.

You'll hear both good and bad. Some people have there trucks shut off on them while driving and others will say they've never had a problem. Some people like shift on the fly power but it is not good for the Allison transmission they need to relearn new power levels and that can take about 100 miles with any shift on the fly power. increases

I have the Edge and like it. I do get a pretty consistant limp mode when I run 5/5 though. I cant imagine running level 6 without PPE FPRV shim kit to keep it from throwing the Low Fuel Pressure code.

I Like it because its a tuner and gauges all in one and makes decent power. Plus its pretty safe and hard to hurt your truck with it.

On the down side, its makes good power but the shifts in levels 4 and up are crappy. I can manualy shift my cummins faster than the LLY shifts in the higher levels. Level 1-3 shifts nice though and never stops pulling.

We just sold one locally thurs, and so far the customer loves it. They have not had any issues, and the power is good and so are the shifts.

the edge evo race is good from all i hear but it wont work on your truck cause you have an lly like me. the edge juice is total poopie in my opinion i know several people running it on several makes of truck and i never get any good news about it from anyone...alot of people on here talk alot of crap on banks but before a had my superchip or speedloader i raced a lbz with the edge jucie/attitude with the hot unlock and beat him consistently. also his truck was stock height and stock tires and im on 315's. and my set up costs alot less then his i got the banks with the knob and it wa son 600 bucks.

way better then the edge in my honest opinion

The Edge J/A works great on LLY trucks. It has a ton of features as well as shift on the fly which can really come in handy sometimes.

They are not available for the 04.5-05 trucks.
