Angry P1093 keeps coming up so easy?????

There are times I can turn the Edge to 4/5 or 5/5 and it runs great, other times it will just decide to limp because of P1093. Its a new fuel filter and its not happening constant, its very hit or miss. Usualy when it happens though its around 60mph, though it has dont it once in only second gear.

I just have trouble believing its so easy to limp on just level 4. I wasnt planning on going nuts yet and ordering the FPRV shim kit but is that what I have to have?

I just didnt think it was fueling that hard.

you'll need a lift pump but you can get by with the shim kit!

Shim kit wont help if you dont have the fuel required.

Lift pump first.

I've got a 14psi LP sitting in my garage that was for my cummins, it would work right? So the fuel pump on the dmax is at the motor and it has to suck all the way from the tank?

What is the possibility that I am getting rail pressure spikes during the defueled shifts thats opening the valve and when it starts fueling again thats when I get the P1093?

Assuming your talking about the FAST in your dodges sig line you can make it work, or you can buy a new one. I think 14 psi is the max recommended for the dmax, IIRC. I personally have a PPE sitting on my bench for a rainy day. I would, however, spend the $10 and get a shim kit from PPE as well. That should get rid of the P1093. Good luck!

The 14psi pump is the same Carter pump Bully Dog sells for 3x the cost as Summit Racing.

IMO with just 500-600whp goal a FASS system is just an expencive luxury overkill. I end goal is pretty simple, I want a daily driver with good mileage during the week and will run high 12's on the weekend. 500whp should get me about there.

The carter pumps are not made to use diesel fuel. Although I know someone thats had the Blue for a few years.
I agree the extra filters are a waste.
If you want 500 rwhp and a 12 sec rig, you need to get rid of that Edge box and get EFILive. Edge alone will never get you into the 12s.

I have HPTuners already, the Edge was just too cheap to pass up and takes care of the light work. lol

I'd honestly be surprised if the Edge on 5/5 would get me a 14.7 with the crappy shifts. lol

You are correct. There were alot of people out there that had probs. with the original PPE pump. Since they have reportedly changed the Orings and seals to make it #2 compatable....or atleast i hope so, cause i got one sittin around!
