Took the LLY to the track tonight for the first time to get some baseline numbers. It actualy did pretty well for the little its got and 99* heat. The most impressive part was my 60' times once I got the boosted launch just right.
Best run with Edge on 5/5 was:
60'-2.24
330'-6.18
1/8th-9.53@74.07
Thats not bad for an 8,105lb. truck on 33" street tires.
I have some video with some good kills. Best one was a new Chrysler 300 SRT8. I left it off the line and kept pulling away on it. There were a few trucks I beat and my last race was against a Jeep SRT8 with alot of work and a Vortech Blower. He is making close to 600 crank HP and AWD. I beat him off the line with the 2.2 60' and still ahead of him by half track, but with all that HP he passed me in the end. Most people I talked to say they are running .3-.4 slower tonight than they were running in MAY.
I figure since I ran mine with the aux fuel tank, lots of tools, ice chest, and other junk in the truck I could easily cut weight a couple hundred pounds and with some cooler air I think 8.90's aren't very far off. The trans was kinda funny though. First race the shifts were slow with a long defual but every race they got better and better. My times were getting lower and lower every run, just wish I could have broken into the 9.4's with all the weight.
not bad man. my PPE on 160hp was just a lil bit quicker 60' 2.148 330' 6.032 1/8mile 9.3
I could have ran it a lil quicker but I only went down the strip 1 time cuz it was crowded my 1/4 on that was a 14.7@ 86 with a limped tranny so I coasted through the finish so I wouldve ran a lil quicker on my 1/4 mile too

The scale said it weighted 7840 without me and I'm 265. Thats with about 150lbs. of tools, 18" wheels, 33" tall tires, full of fuel, 55 gallon aux fuel tank, icechest full of cokes and other drinks (track has new rule where you cant take your chests into the stands so I had to leave it in the truck.)
I have no doubt without all the extra weight plus remove the spare tire, tools, only 1/4 tank of fuel, ect I could have it around 7200lbs with driver.
my best 1/8th was 9.70, but that was with my old programmer and not boosting. so idk wat i would do now with the PPE. kinda afraid of screwing up my tranny

Untill I get my trany built I'm not running the 1/4, I want to stay away from the 4-5 shift and WOT on 5/5.
What time of year did you run your at the track? I know on my gasser I was running 9.40's in cool weather early spring and in June with the same mods and 99* humid heat I was getting 10.1's. It took a 100hp dry shot to get it back down into the 9.3-9.4 range. I just dont know if the heat and humidity hurts these diesels as bad.
