The proper bigger trans cooler helps a lot and circulates much better than the restrictive factory cooler. I have a lot of experience on this subject.
I have found that the converters are not the first to go, but the C3 clutches sure are.

^^^ thanks for the info & ive heard ur the 'transman'!!!!

so aftermarket cooler helps...cool. havent seached alot, are there direct replacements or just get a bigger cooler & install it?
will shift kits help to slow/reduce trans problems?well,that is in the allison case.

im sure ill have the trans built sometime. i just would like to prolong the time.

I have to be carefull here so I do not upset the paying vendors. There is a drop in cooler which takes all of 30 minutes to install. No drilling , hoses or clamps. It is very effective. It can be purchesed at ATS or Suncoast, and a few other places. I designed the kit. I hope I have not stepped out of line here.

The name transman bring back some great memories. Do I know you?

COOL, thanks for the info. maybe a pm would of been better, im not trying to step on toes or cause problems.

& i would have to say no, we have probably never meet. its just the info ive been reading that points in ur direction on curtain things
