yea I had forgot to mention I have the egr blocker plate, would the afe mouthpiece help incredibly with mileage or not?
i dont think it would be incredibly...but i would say a solid 1mpg maybe 2 if you're super lucky...plus it will help your truck live longer by keeping intake temps down...
plus you could just get a lbz piece and thats only like 85 bucks or so....

Beech, I'm gonna have to disagree.
Tires have a lot to do with mileage. Those are 33s. Stock is 29.5. Thats almost 4 inches in height difference.
I'm willing to bet that he would pick up 2 mpgs with 245/75R16s

Ok well I have a 2005 lly with nothing but a resognator plug, exhaust without the muffler, and my ppe set on level 4..What are some things I can do to get some BETTER gas milage cause it is killing me to fill this thing up so often?
competent tuning will help. LLY stock tuning is pretty poor.
This is not fixed with plastic tuners either, all the stock flaws are retained.

Thats better milage than I get. I get around 11.5 to 13 just driving. 10 or less if I so much as look at a trailer

Extra weight is another factor. Take out anything you don't need to help lighten the truck up, keep clean fuel filters and oil changed regularly, thats all the given. You might want to look into EFI live, Its alot smoother on the motor.

I agree on the tires. I run 265-75s & can get 11+ mpg & my rig total w/ camper on & tow trailer weighs 19,000 lbs. That's at 65 most of the time. I'm still looking to get better.

You might have to look at the tires you chose. KM2s, heck, I have Krawlers on my Jeep but don't expect to get mileage. Nice for the offroad but you might be kidding yourself looking for mileage w/ big heavys. I run General Grabber HTS for the Hwy, best stopping & handeling, dry or wet/ Consumer Reports.
