unless you are planning a whole lot more than a 40 HP tune, just do the
Induction Overhaul Kit a stock turbo is going to be much more prudent.
Without it, the stock turbo is being oversped on stock level boost, every day. Food for thought: I would not buy a used LLY turbo from anyone who ran non-stock boost for any significant period. Worst case, over 30 psi of boost at higher elevation, stock induction plumbing... run, don't walk. If you saw the compressor map for that operating point, it would blow your mind.
