Installing Straight Exhaust ?

Quick question, I'm installing a 5" straight pipe exhaust this weekend, and I was wondering if you need to install any kind heat wrap or tape at the exhaust clamps, or do the clamps seal tight enough not to leak ?

What kind of clamps does it come with? The band clamp types are the best. They will form to the pipes. The U bolt pipes crush the pipes together. Both of them seal great and you are suppose to crank them down good so you dont need thread lock.

walker makes a sealant for clamped joints called accustaseal or somthing like that . its is a black tar like sealant that helps seal and prevents the pipes from seizing together for easy removal later on down the road . i put a bead around the inside of the joint slide the next pipe in then clamp it down .
