ok...the "HOOK EM INTAKE MOD":cool is complete, took me all of 10 minutes, i had to take the box out and use a jigsaw to make hole and installed the pattended "HOOK EM COOLING FOAM"

took it for a short run around town to see how she ran and found that i have more throttle response and a throatier sound coming from the intake, ill let you know about mpg gains and temp/fan activity (assuming I can keep foot out of pedal)in a week or so.

Cool...glad it worked out. The gains you have acheived with this will double when you Dremel/Port the inside of your existing LLY mouthpiece.

The combo of the two will up your ante in getting tickets for 'Competition of Speed'.

I will admit though, it's hard to see a gain in mileage, 'cause it feels so good to punch it and leave the 'Hemis' behind at the light.

Realize though, lowering Intake Air Temp this way is helping to offset the effects of the real problem, which is the restricted and troubled MouthPiece design. You need to plan on opening that thing up so she can breathe.

When you start, bear in mind that you may spend 2hrs grinding, that stuff is harder than steel to machine. I found working it in the bright sunlight to be beneficial in seeing what your doing. Instead of going by visual on how much to remove, use the feel of your fingers. Reach in and you can feel the 'ski slope' on the ridge of the inside corner. Work on getting that down to a smooth transition by the feel of it and you won't grind a hole through it. The bright sun casting shadows from the high spots will also reveal several other areas that can be addressed.

Well I haven't done the intake mods ie foem or opening up the front of the box yet but I did get the KB IOH kit and installed it. My wife is driving to Las Veags in the truck and has called me 4 times to tell me how much more power the truck has and she keeps creeping up to 85 and doesn't know it until she looks down at the speedo.

She said that she doesn't have to punch hard to pass somebody she just pushes a little on the pedal from 60mph and it takes off like a bandit!!

Thanks to Killer Bee my truck seems to be running great. If my wife notices the extra power there must be a bunch of it from this one mod. I think the True CAI will be on the menu real quick whne I can get some $.

Thank You KB the wife is very happy.

Did you get my stock parts that I sent you yet?

Well she would be real happy with a set of Amp Research power steps. I think maybe when the xmas bonus comes I will make her real happy with those. Until then she is way happy with the performance of the truck with the IOH kit on it. She drives it everyday that I work because I drive 80 miles one way she drives 19. So for her to say she notices a difference is huge.
