Yes at about 140km per hour with a 5x3" opening to replace the head light on my CRX we saw a 1 psi in the manifold pressure.

Yeah ill see when i can get over to the dyno.

Yeah so far my dad loves it. We only plan on doing Intake Exhaust and the Sixgun as this turck is just used to tow his 30 foot trailer.

We are doing the same mods on my uncles LB7 in a month or so also.

To the one guy were is the bottle neck in the LLY intake?

Nice pics. Those vents are the water protection for rain. From what I can see there, it still won't protect from standing water. Is there a source for air higher up? If so, then water is heavy enough it won't fill that duct. But if there isn't, better not go through any deep puddles that will cover those openings.

There is not going to be any noticeable ram benefit either. This is a 20 psi vehicle. Ram benefits never exceed .3 psi at our speeds. It's not a 600 mph fighter.

What you do have is a superior Cold Air intake, IMO. And in the LLY, that's huge. However. they still left the most performance degrading intake piece in place. Intakes are a big con, in general. Your gains are going to be substantially lower than placebo is suggestion.

Make sure you bring the old intake to the dyno, and compare them.

i use a bucket but a nice lawn chair would work to..
we have sevaral tire shops so taking tires off is easy for me and it's realy not that hard for most people..jack the truck up and put a jack stand underneath the frame behind the left front tire and then you can start working..

Killerbee You never answered the question. What is the part that needs to be modified on the LLY.

the intake is 3" at the compresor elbow. The only thing i could see possing a restriction in flow and introducing tuburl;ance is the whissle baffle at the turbo.

By the way here is a pic of what im talking about look at the side of the air box. The big opening on the side when u buy the scoop kit you get a block of plate that slides in there when you have the scoop on. See a water hole you pull it out and no worring of hydrolocking.

As for the dyno ill slap on the stock on first and dyno it then slap do 2 runs with the stock one then do the banks system with no scoop then with the scoop.

As for guys who doubt this intake makes power i used to do alot of NA aib box mods back in the day. Example the inside of the air box you know the squares on the inside of the lids and box by grinding them off and smoothing them on a NA motor reveing to 9000 rpm we picked up 4whp on the top end.

If you look at the banks intake starts off as a 8" inlet to the filter and funnels smaller at the flex joint 4.5" then at the throtle body 3". This creats a velocity effecy.

If you look at the factory intake its 3.5" all the way to the throtle body with a 1/8" lip all around the throtle body which creats a turbulance effect.
