the intake is 3" at the compresor elbow. The only thing i could see possing a restriction in flow and introducing tuburl;ance is the whissle baffle at the turbo.
By the way here is a pic of what im talking about look at the side of the air box. The big opening on the side when u buy the scoop kit you get a block of plate that slides in there when you have the scoop on. See a water hole you pull it out and no worring of hydrolocking.
As for the dyno ill slap on the stock on first and dyno it then slap do 2 runs with the stock one then do the banks system with no scoop then with the scoop. | You can read all about it in the next issue of Maxxtorque. It is all the results from a one year intake analysis effort.
The conclusion is something none of the intake manufacturers have tested for. I guarantee it will be worth the trouble. |

| Thats ur filter usage gauge lol When your filter gets clogged up creats vacum pulling the diaphram back to tell u to change it. that would take a longggg time with thishuge filter and its surface area. |

| There are so many factors that play into effect of a intake. It has 1/3 the surface eh. Do your math the surface area of the stock filter is 40 sq in in surface area banks filter 72 sq in how is the stock bigger ? |

| The are more pleats and they are deeper on the stock filter. You have to take that into consideration also. Killerbee has done extensive research on this subject and knows what he is talking about.

| more pleats sure traps more are at the tips of the pleats. Look at how a stock panel filter wears and you will see its main air stream this were you air stream goes threw once this area gets clogged full of debree and dirt the air stream starts to funnel from the outer edges. Trust me i know how a air filter works ive done lots of flow bench work in the military and civi side.
So far the gas millage is up a bit but i will make judge after a few more tanks of gas. We were getting on avg 16.5-16.7L per 100km. These last to tanks 16.0-16.2L per 100km.
My dads drive normal is setting 4 all the time.
But i still need to see if the previous owner change the diameter for the 285 tires in the ECU |

| To convert to U.S. standards of MPG, you were getting 14.0 - 14.3 and now you are getting 14.5 - 14.7 mpg.
An increase in a half mile per gallon is not bad at all !! |
