Is the 04 a LLY or a LB7. If you have a LB7 you wont have a egr to block unless it is a california emissions truck. If it is a LLY you probably won't need a fingerstick.
The 07 might or might not need it. You will probably get a SES light, but i would get a programmer that blocks the code instead of cutting and splice wires with the fingerstick.

There are other states that have a similar smog control system such as California and they will require a finger Stick to control false CEL. Just block it and then see if it comes on.

I'm going to block the EGR on my 05' this weekend, already have the straight exhaust. My question is if it throws a code and I'm only asking because I have no idea, will this code appear on the dash where the odometer reads and if so does it affect performance at all when it throws a code. I've had the straight piped exhaust for nearly 3 months now with no codes or or anything so I'm hoping that by blocking the EGR and not using a Finger Stick I will be okay.

k so i got an 07 lbz will that throw codes? i got an exhaust and programmer. where can i get the egr blocker and fingerstick and how hard are they to install?

i have an 05 that has an edge juice with additude, air dog fuel preporator 150gph, s&b intake, magna flow turbo back 4 inch with muffler, and diablo sport predator programmer. the diablo has an egr turn off option. just curious if it really works? thanks for the help and glad to be in a new community of duro lovers!
what does it look like and where does it go on the truck, i got 04 durmax LLY 4.5 with 4'' banks straight and banks airbox and a edge pro. in dash monitor...my truck loost its balls and dealer keep saying all ok so now im trying to fig out if its soot? any advice thanks and pics of EGR Blocker whould help me out
