Egr Blocker And Fingerstick???

I have tho 06 LBZ should I do the block plate?

I have the LBZ and I'm doing mine this weekend. I heard it makes oil cleaner and keeps soot of out the engine and lowers EGT's a tad bit due to it needing to suck extra air through the CAI. Thing is though, if you do it, you might and might not get codes or a SES light. I ordered (all at once) an EGR blocker plate, CAT delete pipe, and Quadzilla Stealth 2 programmer to block those codes. Every truck is different, you just take your chances..... I personally bought the other programmer so I can re-tune for my speedo and speed limiter as well.

what does it look like and where does it go on the truck, i got 04 durmax LLY 4.5 with 4'' banks straight and banks airbox and a edge pro. in dash monitor...my truck loost its balls and dealer keep saying all ok so now im trying to fig out if its soot? any advice thanks and pics of EGR Blocker whould help me out

The EGR recirculates the soot from your exhaust back into the intake to be re-burnt. The Block plate keeps this from happening. While this is a very good mod for anyone to do to their truck, i don't think this is your problem with a loss of power. Have you changed the fuel filter lately? What about the air filter, is it clean?

i went threw all of the things of cleaning my air filter and changing the fuel filter, the problem im having is the power that once was there is gone. my RPMS are reaching @ 3000 til i fill the power kick in and the power use to kick in @ almost 2000..the dealer says there is a up grade to my truck but they cant force the upgrade on cuz of the programer is still in the memory of the truck..the dealer does not know its my edge pro..they ask me if i got one on and i tell them never..the up grade is for the ECM on my truck...any ideas or help please.thanks

Ya me also. I have the 04.5. I have the blocker plate but haven't installed it yet. Will I need the fingerstick and if so, where can I get one and what's the cost?

hey r8ders i have the same problem with my truck. i had the dealer update my computer too but it did not help. im taking my truck down to ppe this weekend to install there programmer and shim kit. dan at ppe say this is my problem. they are going to set my computer back to stock just to make sure all of my diablo programmer is removed and then install their program. dan says i may have gotten a bad tune from the diablo. i hope it works.

i called up edge pro and spoke to there so called tech. and he claims that there is no way in hell that there edge pro stays in the memory of the truck, then i ask him that how did the GM dealer know i had it in the truck after i pulled it all out. he then ask me that if maybe i left another programer in the truck that i dont know about??? that was hes answer to me..so thats cool that they can remove ur Diablo pro from ur truck because edge pro told me i was on my own...The GM dealer told me they got to put in a new ECM (memory) and that it will cause below or around $300 and i did send my edge pro back to them and they sent it back that its all good..

not sure where your at in california but nicholas chevrolet in garden grove updated my ecm under warranty. but it did not help and my gas mileage sucked after. ppe said it was possible that some of the tune may be in the truck so there are going to set it too stock just in case. it may be worth a drive placentia to talk too them.

I have a 2005 CC 3500 I blocked mt egr and gota check engine light. I also removed the cat and installed an aero turbo 3535 muffler. I also installed a Painless Performance Products tuner / 10 levels. Will a finger clear the check engine light all these mods caused? How do you hook up a finger stick? Thanks in advance Mike
