head studs???

okay, my truck is an 04 LB7, i am doing an LLY swap. my LB7 has ARP head studs in it, should i spend the extra money and take them out of the LB7 and put in the LLY along with new head gaskets or is it not worth the time and money? i hate leaving them in there and giving the motor back as a core. the only mods the LLy will have is a PPE and straight exhaust.

i know they are reusable, im trying to decide if i want to tear the LB7 down to pull the studs and put them in the LLY with new head gaskets or not. the LLY has 65k on it.

for the price of new studs I would tear it down after you get the lb7 out.

I would sell the LB7 and then buy new studs for the LLY. Are LB7 studs the same as the LLY?

Lots of work to do two engines, and then you would have a pile of used parts to get rid of. None would fit the LLY.

What reassurance?... LLY's don't have issues with head gaskets like LB7's all head studs would do would be hold all that cylinder pressure in and bend rods.

You are right, I have never heard of a popped head-gasket on a LLY

PS: I would not put that motor in without them
