| They want to give every dealer a fair chance w/ there product. Also they beleive they have a superb product and they don't want dealers making it look like it is not worth anything just to make 5 bucks |

| I do not like the Edge. I used to have a PPE and I loved it Now I have EFI LIVE and love it. If I was to do it over again I would buy EFI live the first time.

| I'm looking for something that's plug & play.I don't want to mess with downloading and making my own programs. My tranny is stock for now and won't be upgrading it anytime soon so I don't want anything that will blow it.

| I'm looking at a programmer, lift, wheels, tires, and paint.Pretty much in that order so I don't want to be spending a lot of money right now on engine and tranny upgrades.

| The PPE is plug and play as well, just not adjustable on the fly. The nice thing about the PPE is thatyou can remove the tuner for warranty work, but leave in the gauges (yes, you NEED gauges) and no one is the wiser. Thats the major downfall to the Edge, is its a complex install and removal process to try and hide its installation. With the hole drilled in the manifold its a bit of a giveaway.
Besides, if you are looking for a lift and tires the PPE's ability to adjust the speedo will be very worthwhile. With an uncorrected speedo transmission shifts can be thrown off a bit, not to mention the possible speeding tickets if you drive like everyone else in the bay!
The upsides to the Edge are all inclusive gauges package, shift on the fly adjustability, and an included turbo timer. AS for performance, I installed one on my best friend's dad's truck in Lafeyett, guy runs a construction company. Been on there for 3 years now, no problems, and truck runs great. And he even has one of the LLY's with the cooling problem.
If you want to avoid transmission issues, you need to stay right around 90-100hp over stock or less.

| Just remember that the attitude moniter will only read up to 22.5 psi of boost ( w/ a mechanical gauge, getting 30 - 32 psi ) I ran an edge w/ attitude for 6 months or so on level 1 to 3 with a stock transmission, levels 4 + 5 would slip the tranny. Also, $ 500.00 up here in Canada for Edge w/ Attitude. Being able to change power levels on the fly is all good, but when you change a level you need to allow the allison to relearn the power increase level, which Edge says is between 100 - 200 miles. A PPE tuner allows you to reset the allison with their ' quick learn ' option whenever you change power levels, this takes only 10 - 20 miles. You still need to install a few gauges if you run a programmer, but it's well worth it IMO.

| I don't want to mess with guages right now and I don't want too much power, yet.I think I'll go with the edge for now and after some engine/tranny mods I'll think about more power. The edge boost guage only goes up to 22.5?? What is the normal range for the stock turbo ??
