it's no big deal to change. There is a plug in the pan, just pull it out, unscrew the spin on filter, put new filter on, put drain plug back in and fill. It should take somewhere around 7.4-8 quarts to refill. The internal filter does not need to be changed until 100,000 miles.

Maybe I am a little late with the response, but it sounds, wiring/sensor related, just a thought. Wondering why you took a pickup having a problem already and slapped a programmer on it? What type of fuel are you running, using any additives?

In my case i was told by the dealer there was nothing wrong with the truck so i put the programmer back in. When i drive it without the trailer its feels fine but i could really tell the power loss when towing. I was hoping it would throw a code but it never did.

yes same thing wit me i take truck dealer and they say its ok, but i know i got power loss..every morning when i would start truck to warm her up she would let me know she was cold cuz it sound nice and a bit loud and i would be able to hear it idle prety good, but after the highway problem it just sounds like a stock truck and for the truck to scream a bit i would have to make it almost redline when i just use to get to 2k rpms it would scream. so that tells me something is up but i cant get nobody to fix it or know what is going on. Some of the info on here sounds good & im taking notes so im going to dealer monday and im going to ask them to look at fuel rail and trany. but im taking it to a diffrent dealer cuz the first one i took it to told me theres nothing wrong and we got into it a bit..so i will get back with my results when they finish

im going to take it in some time this week, they were backed up to 3 days. let me know what they tell u..i also removed my EDGE from the truck just to see how it runs with out it for a week before i take it in to dealer and it does feel a bit less power but not a whole lot..so i know the EDGE is working, and something is up with my truck. the dealer did ask if i had any sensor lights on before i take it in, i told them no but i ask them if they can check my fuel rail and all that may cause power loss things that may be so common. so ill post u right back when they still my money @ $70 an hour rate
