I just came in from dremel grinding my turbo inlet. Hopefully that will help some. Also I just noticed that just in front of the filter box opening on the fender there is some sort of sticky taped silver material and it covers a hole in the filter about the size of your fist. I pulled the stuff back and folded it down to open up that hole. That hole goes right down to the open air below the truck, It seems like that would suck in at least a little bit of cold fresh air from through the fender. Anybody know what that thick material is for and why it would be covering that hole? Seems useless, actually worse than useless its blocking air.... Thanks.

Sounds like stuff to quiet down the engine compartment or the shoot forget what its called, but the stuff you can put on you turbo to keep cooler like insulation, keep the rest of engine heat from warming it up more.

One would think GM designers are missing an opportunity for an aggressive look to the hood with the addition of a CAI scoop, nostrils, or cowl intakes.
It would sure improve things for us down south, been known to get a bit HOT down here.
