You caught that subtle nudge 'eh? No problem, I realize the recent discussions here have probably effected your stock levels. I enjoyed talking wit' ya!

I see several different temps on here for the engine. I assumed the thermostat was set 205 - 210 because that's where mine runs all the time. No change unloaded before KB's IOH kit and after. What I'm excited about is the next time I pull. I tow 8500 lbs a lot above 6000 ft in Northern Arizona and have had the truck hitting 240 on grades. Speaking with KB and putting his kit on, I'm expecting a significant drop. I'll post a response once I'm done.

Hmmm, I wonder if we (LLY-ers) also have inaccuracies from the gauge/inputs? Is that really 240 your seeing, or not? I see from the LMM on down that many are all over on what is the correct op temp from 210-195.

I can say for a fact...........right now with my truck as listed in sig.........my eng temp runs 210* all the time. When I bought it, I expected like 190*. Nope ..... never seen it run like that.

and you can see the comparison of the LB7, LLY and LBZ mouthpiece. I'm am still trying to look into a combination of plumbing parts to adapt old (LLY) with new (LBZ) but, I haven't found out if the LBZ mouthpiece is available alone, or if the whole assembly must be purchased to acquire the mouthpiece.
I have an AFE Stage 2 CAI installed now so couldn't I cut the intake tube on it and match it up with the LBZ mouthpiece and use a rubber boot for any discrepancy?

05 owners manual states that 210* is the temp we will usually see. 240* while pulling grades and at 260* your cooling system is not keeping up. This is not the supplemental Duramax booklet.
