i came out after trying to remote start my truck and it was off but the parking lights were on and the check eng. light illuminated with out the key in the ign. i tried priming the system and starting it no luck. i un hooked my edghe and cleared any codes in the system and it started right up. after that i hooked the edge back up and noticed the display wasnt on. tried to start and still no start. i the unhooked it and hooked up my ppe and read the codes. 0090-0193-0335. left the edge unhooked and drove on to work. i have had the edge stacked with the ppe for awhile now with no problems. but all the sudden it does come on and doesnt start. wtf? also why did my parking lights just come on and stay on and why was there a CEL with no key in the ign. and help would be greatly appr.!!!
Well there's been quite a few people having problems with their edge units latley. It might be that yours is one of them.Since you have a PPE, there's really no need to stack them. Your not really gaining anything. I'd throw that edge in the trash personally. The CEL was on b/c your truck was supposed to be running, but there was no oil pressure, and that would set it off. I don't know what those codes are, but I bet one of them has to do with oil pressure.
Just a thought, but if you don't put some money into your tranny it will be a very slow mutha in no time at all. I really hope your not running all that power through your stock transmission. Either one of those programmers has enough power to easliy grenade your tranny. Put em together and then its inevidable. It's your truck, so do what you want with it, but if it were mine, I'd just turn up the PPE and be done with it. If you keep having problems with your edge unit, then thats what I'd do. It's obviously the edge thats causing the problems.
this is weird it did the same thing this morning but i havent hooked it back up yet. i drove around town alot yesterday stoppin and cutting the truck off and starting it back and never acted up but did the same thing this morning no edge display and no start
