Only 10 Mpg In The City

Hi i was lookign for nay ideas as to why my truck is getting such terrible mileage a coupel of months ago i bought a edge juice with attitude and aem cold air intake and put it on my truck for the first coupel, of weeks i was getting opretty good mileage and now for the past month or so i have only gottne 10.1 to teh gallon any ideas anybody

check the fuel filter if havent change it in awhile.

yeah i just had them both changed just a few months ago

have you had the ecm reflashed.

ya X2 on fuel filter. I'm sure your running some pretty big tires with that lift, so that is definently hurting your mileage a LOT. If they're too big of tires, you might consider some gears to get you back to the stock final drive ratio. It takes a lot of fuel to get those bigger tires rollin.

Just curious, what kind of mileage do you get on the highway?

Gears like said above would help alot, Diesel nut said he did gears awhile back and picked the customer up 4mpg.

what is teh ECM? im retard i guess

my tires im running on there are 315/75 r16 so there not huge

The engine control module (the computer that deals with the tuning of the truck), have you been to the dealer lately if not you havent had a reflash.

Do all ECM's need to be reflashed or just certain years?

The reflash is just if gm has any new updates not necasary unless, you are having issues with truck.
