LLY performance questions and things...

We were at NADPs 5th Annual August Blackout in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
We went to the MBRP tent and dad was talking to the to guy.
He gave us two part numbers. I think it is the XP 4" cat back exhaust, and the front pipe that deletes the cat.
I'm wondering if you can get the front pipe in stainless aswell, or just bare metal...?

Also, we still haven't got the truck tuned.
We have the Superchips Cortex. Dad wants to improve power and performance, and get better MPGs. What would be the best tune? We have 285/75/R16 tires on it.

The MBRP guy said if we tune it with stock exhaust the EGTs will go up.. should we tune it or not?

I would just do the XP series down-pipe back exhaust, and i would use any of the tunes. As long as you drive with sense wont hurt the truck.

Right now, were doing alot of highway driving.

Heres what I got from Bullydogs website.

Haven't found a place to do this yet.
Dad wanted the cat back and front pipe, because if he ever had to put the cat back, he could.

ya thats a good idea for inspections. And as far as the relearn you can just drive normal, like you do everyday and it will be fine. As long as your everyday driving doesn't have many wot runs.

Well... IDK. We've been driving highway mostly since we left our house. Our truck doesn't get used alot. Its a 04.5 with 50,000 kilometers.

It says you might encounter transmission problems if this is not done.

I'm worried that if dad does punch it to pass or show off that something might happen.
Do you think we should relearn or just do alot of highway driving?
Don't want to break it.

Hwy driving won't let the tranny learn. You need to do some stop and go city driving to get it to learn.

The normal stop and go driving will be fine but if you just hop right on istate, just ease it to throttle, and everytime accererate get on it a little harder.

If theres not much traffic just do some stop and go driving. Start out taking off easy and when it shifts smooth like that take off a little harder the next time.

Dad doesn't want to tune it until he has a 4" exhaust.
We have a 100% stock exhaust right now, and will until we get back from vacation most likely.
